Batman movies and comic books are not the only things fans of the Dark Knight crave. They truly do love to crawl under the cowl themselves and play the role of Batman in video games. The massive success of the Arkham Asylum games definitely proves the wide popularity of the character. The final video game entry in the series is upon us, and Andrew Heiberger could not be more excited to pop this into his Xbox One. Batman: Arkham Knight is soon to be released and it definitely is going to continue the thrills of the prior entries.
Thanks to Edge Magazine, we see the titular villain, Arkham Knight, for the first time. Arkham Knight looks like a cross between Batman and Iron Man and he has none of their good qualities.
A host of Batman characters from the villains' rogue gallery make appearances in the game. The Scarecrow, Penguin, and Two-Face are among them. Rumors, and they are only rumors, suggest Superman may make a cameo. Obviously, this is intended to spur interest in the forthcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice film. As if that film needed anything to spur interest.
We still have a bit of time to wait on the release of the game. June 2, 2015, is the date it comes out. Releasing info on the game this early definitely helps build up anticipation.
The previous games truly exceeded expectations and delivered their own special chapter in the Batman mythos. Hopefully, the final game keeps the legacy alive.
