Video games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable. In recent years, however, there has been an increase in cyber bullying on video game consoles. Just a decade ago, online gaming was still very new. In the past, bullying was only done in person. These days, technology has allowed bullies to attack from anywhere.
This past week, a young boy was the victim of a ruthless troll. Alhokair says the young child was playing 'Destiny,' and he was talked into something awful. The child met this player who promised to help, but the player decided to ruin this kid's life. 'Destiny' is a game that requires many hours of playing to upgrade your characters.
The playstaion 4 allows players to play on each other's consoles via the system's shareplay option. The young child thought that this person was going to help him. The older player tricked the little kid and deleted the child's highly ranked characters. The child was away during the deletion of his characters, but he returned to see his weapons getting deleted.
The child immediately started crying, but the older player did not care. All of this can be seen and heard here. The young child went onto the Bungie forums, but nothing can be done to return the child's characters.
