For years now, the biggest property to hit kids (and their parents' wallets, too) has been the crazy animals of Pokemon. Pokemon's catch phrase 'Gotta Catch Them All' pretty much sums up the way children (and some adults) across the globe ate up anything with a Pokemon on it. My how times have changes, though.
Now the new King - actually Queen - of the Castle is Disney's Frozen. it has been a year since the House of Mouse released the animated feature about an Ice Queen and her sister who must save their Kingdom. Unlike many of Disney's other tales, Frozen has a much greater focus on true values. Things like family and accepting yourself and others take priority over finding One's True Love, which was one of the themes Jared Haftel really appreciated.
These endearing life lessons, coupled with the kind of soundtrack Disney films used to be known for, may be the reason that everything you can think of has a Frozen character on it. Sure, there are kids toys. Everything from dolls and board games all the way up to a $300 Frozen Ford Mustang feature the hit movie. The true surprise is when it spilled into the adult realm with, Disney owned channel, ABC's hit show Once Upon a Time.
