Last year the POP Network jumped into the reality docu-drama boat and aired the first season of their new show Queens of Drama. This soft scripted reality TV show features soap operas stars from the past. Big names like Vanessa Marcil, well known photographer Crystal Hunt, and Lindsey Hartley have come together to write, cast, produce, and pitch their very own soap opera series in hopes that a big name network will pick up their pilot episode. Though the goal behind the show is completely real some of the drama is stirred up purposely by the ladies. The whole idea is for them to do get back to acting which is why they play over hyped versions of themselves on the show.
When the show starts Vanessa Marcil names herself the leader of the group and enlists the help of Donna Mills hoping that it will speed up production. She does this without asking the girls and then Mills brings in Hunter Tylo which angers the rest of the ladies. Hunt's character leans towards the catty side and she's often throwing blows with her former co-star Lindsey Hartley. After Mills brings in Tylo without permission Hunt takes it upon herself to call another big name, Joan Collins, to try and reign in Mills and Marcil. Unfortunately Collins and Mills are old friends and the girls' plan is foiled before it even began.
Crystal Hunt has had her share of successes as a young actress before taking a role as herself in Queens of Drama, but her most notable performance was from 2003-2006 when she played Lindsey Spaulding. Lindsey was the troubled daughter of two main characters in the hit soap opera The Guiding Light, and the role gave Hunt a Daytime Emmy Nomination in 2005. After finishing her role on The Guiding Light Hunt began playing Stacy Morasco on the long running hit show One Life To Live. Morasco's character was a complicated one with deep emotional issues and ties to one of the main characters. For an entire year Morasco fiddled with the lives of many beloved characters but ultimately left the show saving her sister's life. The years between her roles as Lizzie and Stacy Hunt starred in a few feature films including The Derby Stallion in 2005 and Sydney White in 2007 where she co-starred alongside American actress Amanda Bynes. TV.com has Crystal's full body of work. But be sure to follow her on Instagram for career updates as they happen.
